| The
year 2010 marks ADVENTURES ALOFT 27th anniversary. With the
addition of decoration balloons,wedding flowers, and tuxedos
they felt that a name change was inorder to better describe
in one word what they have grown into - Celebrations!. Kirby
and Renee Kopp, co-owners say they have allowed a natural evolution
to occur within their business. |
| In 1982,
Kirby became involved in ballooning and then opened an addvertizing
inflatible balloon business the next year. He then met Renee
and they married in 1988 and shortly thereafter she opened Balloon
Central to create unique balloon decorations for weddings and
other events. In 1995 she became Central Pennsylvania's first
Certified Balloon Artist - raising the standard in balloon decorating
in the area. As they started their family together, they soon
grew out of their home based business, and in the summer of
1995 they opened their current storefront in Akron. Then in
1997 they added fresh flowers to their sales mix, where now
they have grown into full-service florist status in their community.
With the focus heading toward weddings they added Disc Jockey
and tuxedo rental to their line up. |
